FRICTION REDUCER

In one of the Pilot mags recently there was an advert for ACTIV8 Universal Friction Reducer. On contacting the manufacturer about the product,I got the following E mail.(copy below) "Since CAA approval has not been sort, ACTIV8 Universal Friction Reducer should not be used in aircraft for public hire or transportation. However, ACTIV8 lubricants can confirm that the Friction Reducer will benefit and is suitable for use with Lycoming O-235 engines provided their use is within private aircraft use only. Thu 25 June: ROBIN PARTS NOW AVAILABLE
25/06/2009 12:11:06
There's relief for Robin owners now that a full spare parts service for all current models is once again available from the Robin factory at Darois.

A large backlog of orders has been cleared and staff are now in place again to respond promptly to orders and enquiries, which can be sent by e-mail to info@ceapr.com or by fax to 0033 3 80 35 25 25, or by accessing the CEAPR website www.ceapr.com and following the leads to "customer support" and "parts".

Spares for older types may not be "on the shelf"  but the factory is committed to supporting as far as is possible all aircraft carrying the Robin name.

There's still no mention of when (or if) production of new Robin aircraft will re-commence.
